We’re Allen Varney and Beth Fischi, founders of Moon Birch Games. We’re both veterans of the tabletop roleplaying game industry, making the leap from freelancing to publishing.
Beth multiclassed as a creative and technical. Her published work includes supplements for the original White Wolf game lines (Mage, Wraith, Changeling, Vampire, Werewolf), as well as contributions to the PARANOIA XP core rulebook and supplements. After her work in the gaming industry, she went on to a multi-decade career in high tech, most recently as a director of technical communications. Returning to game design has added years to her life.
Allen’s published work includes the 2004 Mongoose Publishing edition of the classic 1980s roleplaying game PARANOIA, as well as seven books, three boardgames, nearly two dozen roleplaying game supplements, contributions to several computer games, the fantasy novel Cast of Fate (TSR, 1996), and over 300 articles, reviews, columns, and stories.
Allen and Beth also operate the Bundle of Holding, which presents time-limited offers of tabletop roleplaying game ebooks.
